Bennekom, The Netherlands, May 2nd 2016 – GeoCat continues its deep commitment to open source with a Gold Sponsorship of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation for 2016. This year GeoCat is contributing both directly to OSGeo and to the FOSS4G, OSGeo.nl, OSGeo.es, SIGLibre, FOSS4G Argentina conferences.
GeoCat is looking forward to attending these great events with a series of workshops and presentations. GeoCat staff is active in organizing both the conferences listed above and community events. The most famous of these the annual Bolsena Code Sprint which GeoCat has organized since 2008.
As a community minded organization GeoCat staff are active at all levels of OSGeo working with committees, local chapters and the OSGeo board.
In addition to these community and outreach activities GeoCat finds time to work on open-source – providing leadership and commercial support for the GeoNetwork project.
