The OSGeo board has approved a detailed procedure for incubation of projects. Incubation is the process of reviewing incoming projects, and applying OSGeo guidelines for governance, copyright and license vetting and development techniques.
Approval of this process paves the way for founding OSGeo projects to complete incubation once they have fulfilled all the requirements. It also opens the incubator to new project applications. The incubation process is managed by the Incubation Committee.
