OSGeo Poland exists since 2009. This is a group of people interested in the development and promotion of open GIS software in Poland. The group is the initiative of the members of the Free Software Team (woGIS). The Chief National Surveyor created the woGIS group to adapt and develop open software for the needs of building a national spatial data infrastructure.
The nature of the OSGeo chapter Poland is open – anyone who agrees with its mission and its declared goals could become the member.
